HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CHASTITY DEVICE

1) TYPE OF MATERIAL

SILICONE, BIORESINE & PLASTIC

Those material based devices are great for short periods of fun but aren’t the right choice for longer-term chastity. The issue with those cages is mostly hygiene. They are in contact with your skin very closely, body excrement is not easy to clean since the devices are designed to really enclose the cock. You will need to unlock to wash it thoroughly on a weekly basis.Comfort-wise, Bioresine material based is the most comfortable. It’s like a thick coat of wrap around your cock, and isolates it from the world like a vacuum cocoon. Plus, it has by far the least chance of chafing or discomfort. Plastic devices are relatively less comfortable, as chafing between the skin and the device-base ring can happen easily when it is too tight.

STAINLESS STEEL

If you are interested in longer periods of chastity, and want to save the mess of unlocking and re-locking for the maintenance of hygiene, get a steel chastity device. Steel chastity devices have a more open design, with easier access for cleaning. Steel cages are very comfortable once you find a good fitting, there is less chafing with base ring.

3D PRINTED - NYLON

Our 3D Printed collection is made of Nylon material, that makes them one the most lightweight and comfortable chastity devices we have ever made. These modes come in different sizes of options to choose from. 3D Printed Cock cages are solid and sturdy, which makes them suitable for long-term chastity wear.

2) GET THE RIGHT SIZE

All chastity cages the same basic components: the main ring, the cage or tube, and the locking mechanism.

THE MAIN RING

The size of the main ring of your chastity device is one of the most important measurements you must know before you buy a device. This ring is what keeps the device on. You do not want it to be too large, the device is likely to pull down and eventually slip off, neither too small as it is hazardous to health: it mustn’t be so tight as to restrict blood flow. The main ring is basically a cock ring.

First you need to measure the circumference around your cock from behind the balls. You can use a fabric tape measure (the kind dressmakers use) to get the measurement, or, if you don’t have one, you can use a piece of string and a ruler.Wrap the tape measure or string around your cock, going behind the balls. The tape should be snug but not tight. The last thing you want is to suffer from circulation problems, so a good time to take this measurement is after a shower or bath when your body is most likely at it’s warmest.

Now you have your circumference you need to divide it by 3.14 to get the diameter. We’ve done some sample calculations below to show you how it works:

Firstly in metric:17.3 cm ÷ 3.14 = 55mm diameter

15.7 cm ÷ 3.14 = 50mm diameter

14.1 cm ÷ 3.14 = 45mm diameter

12.5 cm ÷ 3.14 = 40mm diameter

And in imperial:7 inches ÷ 3.14 = 2.25 inches diameter

6.25 inches ÷ 3.14 = 2 inches diameter

5.5 inches ÷ 3.14 = 1.75 inches diameter

4.7 inches ÷ 3.14 = 1.5 inches diameter

It’s worth taking the measurement two or three times to be absolutely sure, as cock rings usually cannot be exchanged after sale due to the intimate nature of their use.

We recommend trying 3D Printed Chastity Sizing Rings - "Find your size"that is a group of four sizing rings of similar size in 0.08″/2mm diameter increments that can be used to help you find your most comfortable base ring diameter.

Another option is to visit your local “Do It Yourself” or hardware store and discover if you can find a ring with a diameter of 50 or 45 mm. This could be a curtain ring, a large rubber washer or something similar. Then when you get home put it on and see how it feels. Much too loose then you’ll need to buy a slightly smaller sized cock ring, too tight and you’ll need a larger cock ring.

THE CAGE LENGTH

The length of the cage is somewhat important. Ideally you want a cage that is just long enough to allow the tip of your penis to come to rest at the end of the cage. If your cage is too small, it could make you feel like your penis is being constantly “held back” inside the body a little, your glans may bulge uncomfortably through the end hole, or your penis may bunch up towards the base.

For uncircumcised males, the foreskin may protrude from the end of the device and get pinched. A cage that is too long will not cause any major issues, but it could cause urine to get splashed inside the device, which builds up moisture and odour. To measure the length of your penis for a chastity device, you can take a ruler and place it on the underside of your flaccid penis, measuring from tip to base. Do not press the ruler into your scrotum, as this will give you an incorrect measurement. Just allow the ruler to make contact with the skin there. You should be completely flaccid when taking this measurement, but not the “retracted inside the body because it’s cold or scared” type of flaccid. For accurate results, take this measurement several times throughout the day, to find your most common length. When you have found your measurement, deduct a ¼ to a ½ inch off the final results and this will be your ideal length for a cage.

THE CAGE DIAMETER

Measuring for the cage diameter is less important, but a correct fit here does have some benefits, like increased comfort and making less mess inside the cage when you pee. Some people recommend a cage that hugs the penis, making contact with the skin all the way around, but not feeling tight. Personally I recommend the cage be looser than this, because it allows air to circulate. A clammy, sweaty penis builds up odour faster and dark, damp conditions can cause issues with infection. Also bear in mind that your penis will naturally pull back, or retract into your body during movement or in certain conditions and if the cage was tight to begin with, your penis may not be able to move forward again and so it stays bunched up. Bunching can cause skin to bulge or become trapped and pinched. I guess the choice is yours whether you prefer a snug fitted cage, or one that allows some wiggle room, but we prefer the latter, even if it does mean he can get semi erect.

3) Anti Slip RING or NO Anti slip ring?

Want to add an extra safety? Get an anti slip ring. The teeth will get slightly into your skin, those avoiding any potential slip off or removal.

4) Slide it inside your penis - Catheter option

Some steel cages come with built in uretheral lock. These can be great if you’re going to measure your chastity in hours, but they will be unsuitable if you are going to measure it in days.

5) Prince Albert? Maximum security

Men pierced on their glans, can buy a PA lock for their chastity. Those are the maximum security devices as impossible to pull out. Choose the size of the lock, such as 3mm or 5mm. The cage length is not really important, and most cages do not have a main ring.

natural or circumcised cock

In general most devices will suit both natural and circumcised cocks, but some are more practical than others for the uncircumcised penis. Some men with a natural or uncut penis may discover that their foreskin protrudes through the urination slots of some chastity devices and this can be uncomfortable. This tends to happen with designs that have a tube completely encasing the penis and a slot for urination, such as the very popular, light weight, “CB-6000”. These chastity devices prevent you from touching your penis and have relatively large vertical urination slot. Although this design feature is really helpful for allowing a good flow of urination, some men, but not all, find the constant rubbing of the protruding foreskin a nuisance, others find this situation even causes the foreskin to become inflamed if worn for any length of time. Whether this would happen to you depends on your choice of chastity device and your own personal dimensions. If you are uncircumcised and the design of the plastic cage particularly appeals to you experiment with pulling your foreskin back to expose the head of your penis as you enter the device. You may also find it helpful to carry a few Q Tips or Cotton Buds so you can gently reposition the foreskin back into the tube.
